MGMT 508 Leadership and Change

This doctoral-level course in Leadership and Reinvention is designed to equip students with the essential skills and theoretical frameworks necessary to excel in leadership roles within complex healthcare environments that are dealing with constant change and disruption. Students will explore key concepts such as character and leadership, adaptive leadership,  strategic planning with reinvention tools, and change management, with an emphasis on evidence-based practices and ethical decision-making. Through a combination of personal and professional self-evaluations, collaborative projects, and deep discussions, learners will come to understand the impact of their own leadership journey  and inter-professional dynamics on patient outcomes and team effectiveness. By the end of the course, students will gain a sense of confidence and be prepared to lead innovative initiatives that enhance quality care and promote a culture of excellence within their organizations.
