LIS 462 Digitization Project Planning and Management
This course provides an introduction to current practices in digitization project management and provides an overview of the concepts, issues, tools and techniques of digital project implementation through hands-on work with a local repository. Students will work closely with repository staff and the instructor to develop a comprehensive digitization project, using best practices and case studies as a guide. Additionally, this course addresses the art and science of initiating, planning, executing, managing and implementing digitization projects as well as developing effective communication, team building, time management and critical thinking skills.
