MATH 343 Mathematical Modeling

Construction and examination of the range of mathematical models- both discrete and continuous, both deterministic and stochastic. Use of computer-based tools as well as analytic approaches. Topics chosen from discrete dynamical systems, difference and differential equation models, graphs (traffic control, social groups, transportation), simulation, input-output models, game theory, linear programming, queues, epidemics, and population growth/ecological models.
