RN to BSN

The School of Nursing offers Registered Nurses the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. The requirements of this program are built on a prior earned Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN). The RN to BSN curriculum, in conjunction with the ADN prior learning, meets the AACN Essentials for the BSN. The methods by which course objectives are to be met by RN students are geared toward adult learners. RN students must complete 128 hours of credit and fulfill the Simmons general education and competency requirements. Of the 128 credits, up to 94 proficiency credits can be transferred in, which includes both academic credits and credits we offer for professional experience. At least 34 semester hours of credit must be earned at Simmons.
