PHYS 305 Electricity and Magnetism

This course introduces classical concepts of electricity and magnetism, and then discuss how these led to the descriptions of electromagnetism and the form of electrodynamics that was largely created by James C. Maxwell. Topics include electrostatics (including conductors and dielectrics); currents and magnetostatics; electromagnetic induction; Maxwell’s equations; and electromagnetic radiation.
