Public Health (BS) / Master of Public Health (MPH): Simmons Edge Program

Degree Requirements

Undergraduate students may pursue a path to accelerated graduate education, taking two graduate-level courses as an undergraduate, which can count towards your graduate degree. Students take MHEO 410 (Health Equity and Social Justice) and MHEO 415 (Epidemiology) in their senior year. Note that students need 128 unique credits to graduate with an undergraduate degree. Students doing accelerated degrees will need to make up the two-credit shortfall associated with taking two 3-credit graduate classes while they are still undergraduates. Students who are interested in this option should reach out to the Public Health Bachelor’s Program Director. Through this pathway, undergraduate students complete 6 of the 45 credits required for the MPH degree. Following graduation with a bachelor’s degree, accelerated students then continue their studies in the MPH Program as graduate students.
