Overview
The Applied Leadership Certificate is designed for campus-based undergraduate students wishing to attain more curricular and applied learning leadership experience. The certificate requires 13 credits of academic and reflection coursework as well as a non-credit-bearing applied leadership experience.
Certificates will only be awarded to students who complete a Bachelor's degree at Simmons University in addition to all of the required certificate coursework and applied leadership experience.

Applied Leadership Experience
Students must declare their intent to pursue the certificate prior to beginning the Applied Leadership Experience.
Examples of appropriate leadership experiences include, but are not limited to:
- Off-campus leadership experience;
- Community-engaged leadership experience;
- Student leadership roles on campus;
- Approved Passionate Leader Projects.
