HIST 383 The Cold War in Latin America

This course explores the Cold War in Latin America, which was not “cold.” We cover events such as the Cuban Revolution and Pinochet’s coup in Chile, as well as US foreign policy, civil society, culture, and lived experiences of women and men. Students write research papers on topics of choice.
